Educational Programs

Education is at the center of the Byron Museum’s mission. We invite teachers and students to take the opportunity to experience the Byron Museum as an extension of the classroom.

Classroom program focus includes: Underground Railroad, Civil War, Life in the 1900s, America at War (Civil War-Present), Trains & Transportation, History of Baseball, and Agriculture.

The Museum produces a variety of printed materials to assist educators and to enhance the general public’s appreciation of Byron history. Items for classroom use, including pre-visit materials, are available for teachers to prepare students for their educational experience within the Byron Museum. Post-museum visit activities for students and scout groups are also available.
