BYRON HISTORY FUND
MISSION
The mission of the Byron Museum of History is to create an awareness of and appreciation for the historical, cultural and commercial development of the Byron area through a commitment to preservation, resource management and display of historical artifacts for public benefit.
The purpose of the Byron History Fund is to financially support the Byron Museum District and further its longevity through fundraising and endowment building.
The Byron History Fund will gather and disburses resources to Byron Museum District to support the rennovations to the Byron Theater and the expansion of the history museum.
GOALS
To develop museum, school, business and community partnerships.
- Promote community awareness of the educational programs and historical significance of the Byron Museum of History.
- Facilitate cooperative ventures between the museum, school district, community organizations, businesses and volunteers.
- Support Byron Museum as a center for community learning.
To seek resources from diverse entities to support museum initiatives.
- Provide a vehicle for individuals and organizations to contribute.
- Promote the involvement of volunteers in museum initiatives.
- Seek available grants and build an endowment.
To ensure the longevity of the museum’s collection and its availability.
- Support efforts to care for the museum’s collection in perpetuity.
- Promote the exhibition, preservation, conservation, and research of the artifact in its collection.
