Internships

The Byron Museum always welcomes new interns year round. Interns will assist museum staff and volunteers with daily museum activities and ongoing projects in the following areas:

Collections: Assist the registrar with accessioning donations, conduct object research, and digitize photographs and documents in the museum’s collections.

Exhibit Design: Receive hands-on experience in all aspects of exhibit development; including research, writing, and exhibit fabrication and installation.

Education: Assist with the planning and coordination of educational programs andactivities for children and adults in conjunction with the museum’s permanent collections and special exhibitions.

Special Events: Assist with the planning, promoting and staffing of special events held at the museum throughout the year.

Internships are available throughout the school year. Potential interns are encouraged to contact their academic program advisors for information about available credit options. All current internship positions are unpaid work.
