  • (Tryphena was the widow of Mr. Luke Parsons, one of the early settlers of Ogle County, who came to Byron in 1837. Tryphena was born in Westborough, Worchester County, Massachusetts, on November 8, 1810, the daughter of Nahum and Betsey (Harrington) Fisher.)
  • Four children were born to Lucius and Tryphena:
    • Lydia Read Artz, was the only child to survive to adulthood.
    • She married Dr. William F. Artz, physician and druggist, of Byron.
